The Journalism Funders Forum is organising a two-day workshop focusing on What Effective Media Philanthropy Looks Like Right Now, on 3 and 4 June at Château de Rochefort (Rochefort en Yvelines, France).
We’re bringing together 50+ hand-picked people from the worlds of philanthropy and media, including funders, journalists, academics and technologists. Over the course of 15+ different sessions (breakouts, plenaries, presentations), we’ll be diving into conversations about the present and future of journalism funding in Europe.
We hope to work together towards these three outcomes:
- better links between a greater diversity of funders;
- better appreciation of the challenges and opportunities that funders and the field face now and in the near-future, and;
- some practical pathways for solving, mitigating, or even routing round these challenges, and taking up the opportunities.
